研究焦點


白色念株球菌(Candida albicans) 是人體皮膚和腸道內常見的真菌之一。一般情況下,此真菌不會對健康的人造成任何威脅。然而,對於免疫力不足的病人 (經化療或後天免疫不全的患者),則易造成系統性的嚴重感染。實驗室目前主要從事下列研究方向,包括生物膜 (biofilm) 形成的機制、致病機轉、white-opaque 形態轉換、sexual cycle 與其相關的訊息傳導。
