研究焦點


本研究室主要研究焦點有三大方向

 A.  癌症幹細胞與分化療法之開發

  • 癌症幹細胞 ( cancer stem cell ) 被視為腫瘤形成主要之細胞族群,此族群約佔腫瘤細胞數量之百分之一。此類細胞具有腫瘤之惡質性,包含抗藥能力,轉移能力與緩慢之細胞週期。因此,在傳統的化療下,雖然可以針對分化後之一般癌細胞進行撲殺,卻無法消除癌幹細胞。因此,癌幹細胞被認為是腫瘤再度復發的主因。因此,本研究是針對癌幹細胞之幹細胞特性維持之分子機制進行探討,企圖找出破壞維持幹細胞特性之調控機制,並透過透過小分子與特定中草藥成分來驅使癌幹細胞分化至對化療敏感之一般癌細胞。​​​

B. 細胞治療與再生醫學

  • 藥物的發展從小分子藥物開始,然而因為市場競爭,藥廠開始發展抗體藥物等蛋白質藥物。最近隨著生化科技演進,藥物發展開始走向細胞療法與基因治療,台灣衛福部也於 2018 年九月,通過細胞治療之特管辦法,正式宣告細胞治療在台灣的啟動。例如 CAR-T 或是相關幹細胞製劑。本研究室以幹細胞為細胞治療之研究標的,發展以人類誘導式多能幹細胞間葉幹細胞之分離,分化與基因編輯之細胞工程。目前我們開發由誘導式多能幹細胞分化至間葉幹細胞,此過程可以獲得高活性之間葉幹細胞。此外,我們也針對間葉幹細胞之應用:例如免疫調節,肝纖維化治療進行探討。然而,於再生醫學領域之應用,本研究室也參與再生醫療團隊,利用間葉幹細胞進行氣管再生之人造氣管之開發。

C. 產業導向之細胞工程技術開發

  • 蛋白質藥物,例如抗體,凝血因子與生長因子,常利用哺乳類細胞進行生產,因此,高效能高產量之細胞將會核心關鍵技術。利用基因編輯技術,基因調節等技術來改質細胞特性朝向生產品質穩定與高產量之細胞品系或是特定功能幹細胞。將來可用於醫藥品,保健品與醫美細胞應用產業。

其他研究成果
